Bachmann is an internationally recognized, Chinese-owned model train builder. The company used to be an American company but it was taken over by Kader Industries in 1981. The company back then specialized in different model toys with a few model trains. Although the company was established during the late 19th century, the company only started building model trains during the 60s. During the late 80s, Bachmann Industries concentrated their production to model trains.
